Day 1
At 08:30 a.m. present your passport for daily registration with the Slow Boat Association at the ticket counter at Baan Khonekeo Slow Boat Pier, Houay Xai.
At 09:00 a.m. the boat departs from Houay Xai (departure time is subject to delay), traveling downstream along the picturesque Mekong River to Pakbeng, a journey of approximately 7-8 hours. Arrive in Pakbeng Village in the evening.
Day 2
At 08:30 a.m. get ready and make your way to Pakbeng boat pier.
At 09:00 a.m. the boat leaves from Pakbeng for the continuation downstream to Luang Prabang, with another 7-8 hours of breathtaking scenery. Arrive at Luang Prabang boat pier in the evening.
Ticket Includes:
- Public slow boat from Houay Xai to Pakbeng on Day 1.
- Public slow boat from Pakbeng to Luang Prabang on Day 2.
Ticket Excludes:
- Visa approval and formalities fee.
- Transfer service at the border to the boat pier.
- Shuttle bus fee for crossing to the Laos border.
- Accommodation in Pakbeng Village on Day 1.
- Meals (lunch, dinner, and breakfast).

6. Receive E-Travel Voucher: Within 24 hours of payment, we will send your e-travel voucher to your email or WhatsApp. This voucher includes ticket details for your reference.
Additional Information:
- After crossing the Laos border, you can apply for a Laos visa at the border as a Visa On Arrival, which costs 40 USD per person.
- At the Laos visa counter, you need to pay an additional 40 THB to the officer as a document handling fee.
- The USD banknote used to pay for the visa needs to be in good condition without any stain marks, pen/pencil/marker writing, tears, or folds.
- If you do not have USD currency available, the visa fee will be charged at 1700 THB – 2000 THB per person.
- You will need one photo to attach to the visa application form. If you do not have a photo available, there will be an additional charge of 40 THB at the visa counter.

- Please note that if you travel on public holidays, weekends, or weekdays after 04:00 PM, you may need to pay an overtime fee at immigration.
